I know that is the most disfunctional family I have ever seen and I blame it on Paul Sr. But I think Paul Jr is a survivor and will find a way to make ends meet, but for Mikey someone one will have to support him or he will have to live in poverty or on the streets to survive and thats why I feel sorry for him. thats my .
OCC. Where do I start. First Dad, substance abuse. Jr. Substance abuse (had a whole segment about it on the show). Now Mikey, substance abuse. Mom is a Substance Abuse Counselor.....no chit. All happening under her nose, as she helps others.
As they say the wheels have fell off the bikes, the fat lady has already sung her song, and it is time to ride out into the sunset. It is over. Is TLC that desperate for some kind of ratings with F/X airing Sons of Anarchy? Striking that American Chopper fell off the map for some time, then came Sons of Anarchy, then they(the OCC family) return. More dysfunctional then ever!
The whole wearing of sunglasses indoors, bugs me. I do not know why. It just does. I guess I feel it is a lack of respect to others. Even if he is only talking into a camera. It is as if he is a cheesy-pro wrestler.
It's like a bad car wreck ... you drive by and know you shouldn't look ... but you still want to see the carnage.
My guess ... they are not nearly as dumb as people want to believe. There is not another motorcycle oriented show on TV that has lasted as long as these guys. And they keep popping up on this forum every couple weeks ... so I'm sure they are laughing all the way to the bank.
As for me, I still watch from time to time for the bikes. I have no fabrication and only limited mechanical skills. So even if it's a soap opera, the builds are interesting. And the secret is to make it look like any idiot can do it ... but whether you like it or not you got to admit that they do have some skill. If nothing else ... they've got the skill needed to keep the on the air for 6 years. How many other shows can say that?
There really is not any "fabrication" to the builds. Most is done with CAD. They ALWAYS use the same handle bar set up, you all know the ones, the two stupid sticks protruding from the triple tree. Everything besides the frame is bought from a catalog. Then assembled into a bike. Only to be striped back down and "custom painted" by NUB. Now you have a "custom" bike.
Paul Sr. will slap his logo and name onto a dog turd to make money. It is obvious he 'sold-out" to the Discovery Channel Corporate Exec's to continue to make money.
Jesse James split as he did not have any creative say in his ideas and show concepts any longer. His show, at least one off the top of my head, he built the damn thing from scratch (frame, tins, and rims) using copper. Then hopped on it and left for Mexico with Kid Rock, I believe.
OCC for the right price will mock up a typical frame and fork. Throw in a huge engine weld a tank on it. Then CAD your company logo somewhere on the bike. Only to send it to NUB to make it a "custom" job. Then they roll the damn thing out to the company and employees only to have everyone comment about the PAINT. You know the remarks, "Wow, what details, that is a great paint job. Hahahhhahahaaha.
I can't stand these new episodes of OCC. Was much better when Paul Jr was building bikes and not barbecues and dog parks. Also, was never the same without Vinnie. The new shows suck!
