SNOW, What is that? mid 60's here in sunny Fl. I rode all day yesterday and will be riding today. OK, I don't want to here the comments on the rain either. Rainy season is usually after 4:00 pm and you can wait it out under a bridge for 30 Min and your on your way. You can ride in rain, but you can't ride on ice and snow . I'm headed to the beach, maybe see a few bikinis.

i'm at 2 feet of level snow, and it is still coming down. the drifts are ridiculous. my dog was pissed when he ran full force into the dog door, and stopped short. the drift on the back door is about 3'6". my bro in law lives next door, and has a snow blower. i'm just going to lounge around, and pay for the gas for the blower.
Snowing like crazy here in DE. Supposed to get 12-20" with the possibility of more by the time it is over. Yeah that isn't alot to some of you but we don't usually see that much snow here at one time. Maybe once every five or so years do we get a storm like this. And it is only December. Think it is gonna be a bad winter. Guess winter riding is going to be minimal this year. Bike has been in the shop for three weeks now waiting for warranty parts. Looks like it is gonna be sitting there for a while longer. Hope some of you out there are getting a chance to ride.
Guess we lucked out, up here in N Central PA. It stopped down around route 80 --- we didn't get anything. That's OK with me ---- I like winter less & less every year, but I'd rather complain about it than move!

i will retire in 3 years at the ripe old age of 45. i will be moving within days of my retirement!! i want a less harsh winter. not too crazy hot in the summer.
Sunday morning. Snow stopped and there's bright blue skies. Just finished with the snow blower and getting the driveway plowed out. Fortunately I got the bikes all cleaned up and put away for the winter.
I'm looking to retire in a couple of years and definitely moving south. Tennessee is looking more attractive all the time. In fact, my wife and I are planning to visit Knoxville between Christmas and New Years (next week). I've been to all 50 states and always thought northwest NJ was one of the best riding/living locations in the country. Unfortunately the state has gone to hell in a hand basket culturally/politically and its definitely not the state I was raised in.
Getting to be time for a warmer climate and a more conservative culture than this state has turned into...not to mention getting away from the absolutely horrid taxes in NJ (property taxes now at $2400.....a month, plus the highest income and sales taxes in the country). Enough is enough. Lower taxes plus a longer riding season will also be a welcome change from NJ.
Anyone from the Knoxville Tn area that wants to chime in on the benefits of retiring/living and riding in the northeast corner of TN?
Just got back form a 3 hr ride with the wife, Chaps, leather coat and gloves, nice toasty ride. Past about 50 bikes on the ride, everyone here in FL is enjoying the weather.
