There are only two gas stations in my town that are still selling fuel that does NOT contain ethanol. One of them is getting ready to change to ethanol mix.
On my 99 FatBoy that was carbureted I could tell a big performance difference when running ethanol (worse).
I can't tell much difference in the FI Street Glide except I get worse fuel mileage.
I was talking to a boat mechanic freind who said they are seeing problems caused with the alcohol in ethanol drying out rubber lines and rubber gaskets on older boat motors.
Are you guys still able to buy ethanol free fuel in your towns? It sure looks like it will soon be a thing of the past in my town.
In Wisconsin we have had nothing but ethanol mix. A change has come to many of our Kwik Trip stores in the last few months. They have removed ethanol in the 91 octane only. Color of the pump handle changed to bright red with a tag that says for "recreational vehicles only". I sure hope this is a new trend around here.
Casey's General Store has both here, but regular non-ethanol is 87 tane and 10% ethanol is 89 tane, and the ethanol blend is a dime/gal cheaper than regular. Go figure.
It will be mandated to 20% soon, there is no benefit to using ethanol at all not on a Micro or Macro economic level. Mechanically there is no benefit at all, only downside. Only benefit I see is emergency energy security from a national defense point of view.. Do a search there are lots of debates on this, lots of Koolaid drinkers too.
Anywhere we can look this info up on the web? None of the gas stations here in New Bern, NC have the info on the pump...guess they aren't required to here. But, I would like to be able to see if there is anywhere I can get 100% real gas.

In my relatively small town there is only one place that has ethanol free gas .. Exxon and now it is limited to just the premium unleaded (which works for me!)
