keep it, a back up bike is always good to have just in case one breaks down you still get to ride. Everyone should have a back up bike.

You are going to pay "income taxes" on the new value of the bike. Even if you sell it for half the cost to get cash, you will be paying "income taxes" on the new value of the bike.

An 883 Iron lists for $7,000 plus freight and setup. Make sure you know what your 1099 is going to say on it.
Mabe the dealer they got if from will give you that much credit on a trade in.
But you won't like the trade in value of yours right now.

Don't have any advice for you, just testimony that my new 2010 Black Denim Street Glide is one of best handling bikes I've ever ridden not to mention a damn fine motorcycle in general. Good luck!
