Default 2005 UC Clutch

I recently purchased a 2005 Ultra Classic (got a great deal), the prior owner said that he just had a Screaming Eagle clutch installed, I'll take his word on that. My question is...should the Screaming Eagle clutch be any harder to pull at the lever than the stocker? When I test drove the bike I noticed a HUGE difference in the amount of force it took to pull the SE clutch over the stock clutch on my 2008 Nightrain. Is there anything I can do to "ease it up"?

The SE clutch spring is a little stiffer than stock.
There is a reduced effort clutch kit availible. It includes a new ball/ramp and lighter clutch spring.
If your engine is stock, the spring in the kit will be ok.The ball and ramp alone might help reduce the pull also.

By putting a lighter spring in you defeat the purpose. Put a MRC reduced effort ramp in it and you don't have to change the spring. Search !

SE clutch or SE clutch spring? Two different things. Are there any other mods that warranted the SE spring if that's what you're talking about? The ball and ramp assembly from 06 and later is what is in the HD easy clutch pull kit. You could put the ball and ramp assy. in and it will ease it. If you have engine mods requiring the heavier spring, you could take it out and put a VPC in. If you have the spring and don't need it, put stock back in. Couple of options depending on what you have.

I have the SE clutch spring, and I have the EZ pull ball/ramps...............kept the lever pull same as stock, but with the added pressure of the SE spring.

I could be wrong but I believe taht the 08 might have the reduced effort ramp as factory equipment.
