Default Tire Life

Any ideas on the expected rear tire life. I have an 07 RoadKing and a Solo seat. Tire looks good right now with 10,000 miles. Thanks in advance.

I got around 33k off my original Dunlop 402 front tire and about 16k off both my two rear 402's.

It really depends ALOT on how your ride (single, two up, LOADE) speed?? how agressive , how well do you pay attention to air pressure...

above miles is about average (at the top end)

Thanks, its just me and I'm a slow poke. I figured 15k would be tops. I also plan on changing B4 Sturgis.

I owned a few sidecar rigs....3,000 to 5,000 was good.
With touring bikes I was happy with getting anything over 10,000 miles.
Now I'm convinced 15,000 to 20,000 is normal.

Wow i have never gotten over 10 K on a rear and 20 K on the frt. In fact i just replaced both tires on my 09 Ultra with 5500 miles on it. The frt was cupping and the rear had a big nail in it. SFL i guess

Sounds like a classic case of longer term underinflation. What were your target pressures? Did you check often?
