Strange noise from exhaust
Got my baby back from the dealer today. All the body work looks great. It is like getting a new bike two Christmas's in a row. One thing I noticed driving it home. The exhaust has a tinny little rattle in it. Could the catalyst have shifted and is causing this noise?? She laid down on her side during the accident and the left pipe was dinged. I chose not to replace it because I intend to put some slip-ons later. I was just wondering if this may be residual.

I had a similar problem and found the bracket under the saddle bag was not tight and was "rattling" and also check out the clamp which holds the muffler to exhaust pipe. Just a possible cause......

exhaust noise
The mufflers have two bolts that attach an approximately four inch bar that's upturned on the sides. It goes through a rubber support. It can start making noise when the rubber gets a little bit of age on it. I don't know if this is what you're hearing. It's more of a chirping/rattling noise depending on the RPM.
My scoot just started doing it after removing the muffler to replace the rear tire.
