Front fork question

Haven't picked up the service manual yet for this 2009 EGS but still have the manual for my old 2000 Ultra. Is the procedure for removing the front fork legs still basically the same as what is printed in there? Thanks.

Yes however...using a 2000 FSM to perform work on a 2009 will void your warranty and make your bike run hotter!

some parts are different as they have a sort of knock-off cartridge emulator. The seat pipes are different (size of holes) and it is not air assist like your 00 is.
