Default 88" bagger build

First of all I have been researching for a while and still can't make up my mind.

I have an 06 FLHTI and am wanting to upgrade cams andrews 26G or 37G or maybe a 510G, .030 gasket and cleaning up the heads. power commander also. I already have wild pig pipes.

I ride 1 up 90% of the time. I want that great neck snapping torque but can't decide on a cam. I might upgrade to a 95" but right now wife says no. but would like a cam I could use if I decide to upgrade.

Thanks George

Any of the cams you listed would work very nicely in a 95"er.

The 26 and 37G are both good cams.

I believe ,of course I could be mistaken, PhilM has ran both and will have some good feedback for you.

My only question would be if you are doing the heads, cams, and power commander why aren't you going to go ahead and bolt on the 95' cylinders. You can have your stock cylinders bored ,for about $150,at the same time your heads are being worked. If you ever plan to go 95' you might as well do it while you are doing all this work.Unless of course you like paying labor twice.

I agree with what has been said. All three are good cams.

For a bagger that you wanna put some serious miles on and have the power when you need it.... the 26's would be "my" chioice. In fact, I just pulled some 37G's (for sale now) out of my 05 RG. THey make great power! I had 100/100 with a pretty mild build, but I now feel like they are "best" suited for a lighter bike... like a WideGlide.

With the 26's, DO NOT F... with the compression ratio. THeyare designed to make awesome torque at or below 9.2(5):1. Get a nice port/polish of the heads, 95", and a good PCIII tune, you should EASILY have 100+ ft/lbs of torque. That's what you feel.

Again.... just my opinion and choice. If ya want some 37G's, (almost new) give me a holler. I also have a set of silver heads that have been ported/polished/and milled to 9.7:1 for those cams.
