Runout is when you put a dial indicator on it and turn the rotor, that's how much warp.

Runout is wobble! Think of a bent bicycle wheel. Won't be as obvious with a brake rotor, but amounts to the same thing.

Got the new brake rotors installed today. Smooth as silk now. Called Customer Service for HD and lodged a complaint about their dealer, and the Service Manager in particular.

My main issue is with the Service Manager (Lou Alvarez) at Mobile HD. Crossed swords with this guy twice in the last year. The General Manager (Robby Thompson) and Service Manager (Jeff Kitsos) at Eastern Shore HD couldn't have been nicer to me. They are a little farther for me to travel too, but they will get my business from now on.

Don't know what HD Corporate will do about my complaint, but the owners of Mobile HD need to get rid of Lou Alvarez. He is costing them business in a big way. Its cost them mine. I won't be back until there has been a shake up in their service department.

Just a safety gimmick as far as I am concerned but again, I have not used it on a bike. Surely there are proponents but I prefer to remain old school without ABS and stick with a simple carburetor. Not knocking fuel injection, but my problems, should any arise are more easily solved.

I wish you luck but 20K with original pads? Not defending the dealer but that can be pushing it depending on your riding.
"safety gimmick"? Do a panic stop on a rain-slicked freeway at 70 mph with and without ABS and see which way you like it - or haul *** down a gravel road and see how nicely the ABS slows the bike for a turn or Stop sign. I've had ABS on two BMWs and may buy a newer RK just to have it on my Harley. ABS stops my pickup truck faster on snow and ice than I
ever could by pumping the brakes manually. Just my take on it.
