A friend just purchased a 2002 Electra Glide Std. Police Special that came in off a lease to Salem, Or. police dept. He would like to buy a passenger seat that fits behind the original seat(original seat is like an oversize bicycle seat). Any suggestions as to where we could find a seat like this would be appreciated.
If I were him I would lose the police seat (too high) and buy a dresser seat. Many to choose from (Corbin, Mustang etc.). I have not seen a back seat for a police bike.
You can probably get a factory take-off dirt cheap on ebay. That's route I'd go.
Marc, that's the route I DID take with my 2003 and DID save a bunch of money.
I also don't see a passenger seat behind the cop seat as being practical. The passenger
seat would be fixed, while the cop seat floats on it's own shock suspension. Yer friend
should follow Terry's advice and get the dresser seat.
