Default Rider Back Rest - Adjustable vs Fixed

I have an 09 Road King Classic and I am going to buy a rider back rest. Does anyone out there have experience with both the adjustable and the fixed version?

I know it is personal preference and depends on rider size, etc, but any input you have is appreciated.

Thanks!!

You put your posting in the classifieds section.
This is for selling parts only.

I moved it to the touring section for you. You had it in the Touring Parts Classified. You'll get more responses here.

Take Care,

I've been using the fixed back rest for close to 4 years with no problems. Haven't used the adjustable one, but lots of people like it.

I have had both. The fixed, once tweaked for my riding position was a back saver. I now have an adjustable one and I set it up for me last year. I haven't moved it since, but I guess I have the option. I've been using them for the past 8 years now and I can hardly ride without one.

I bought the fixed for my 09 EGC last year. When I sold it,I took it off and put it on the 08 UC I just bought. I like the fixed, But if I had it to do over, I would buy the adjustable. As somebody said in an earlier Thread about this subject, If you ride long trips, it's nice to be able to adjust it to different positions. I take a 3/16 allen with me in my tourpak to adjust mine. So far I haven't moved mine since getting it where I'm comfortable. The mounting bracket under the seat is also adjustable to move it forward or back. Hope this helps! JMO

I have the non-adjustable and once I tweaked it for riding comfort I have never adjusted it again.

I have and like the Mustang adjustable. Chose it because of the many complaints about the HD.
