Default Can't go wrong with any of the 09-10 tourers.

The electra glide family can be setup to give the rider optimum wind protection and the road glide gives a better feel on the open road because of the frame mounted fairing, but you do tend to feel more wind on the rider. Night and day difference between the electra glide and road glide as far as handling.

I love tunes but never saw the need on a bike. Love my RK!!!! As suggested, ride them all or if renting is an option try each for at least a day.

I rented a road glide, test rode a buddies SG for 300 miles and thought i was going to get a road glide. Rode a Ultra Classic and realized that the road glide, while i liked it, the reach to the stereo was uncomfortable, but the reach on the batwing was perfect. A little thing until you think about over all the batwing fit my size better. Ride and test ride different bikes, take your time and think about it so you wont be like the guy the thinks he should have bought a goldwing after buying an Ultra.

I agree the reach to the stereo head unit is uncomfortable, but then again, I never use the controls on the head unit, so RG for me.........

Good advice, here, rent a few and decide what you ike the best.

I depends on what exactly you want. Are you looking for "cool"? Get the roadking! Are you looking for the total experiance? Get a e-glide! Somewhere in the middle? Buy a street/road glide! Whatever direction you go in, with a touring model you cant go wrong. Im betting you wont miss the fatboy. Good luck!

I can give you my opinion from experience. I owned a 07 fatboy. Put allot of money in it as well. Loved the bike. I now have a 10 roadking. Love that bike as well. Rode the fatboy from kansas to sturgis a couple times as well as around town. Rode two up. To me and my wife it was great. Have not rode the roadking to far yet. Snow here now. I personally dont need a fairing and dont need a radio. I am focused on the ride and the road. I think if you get a roadking you will love the bike.

Asthetically(sp) speaking don't think there's a prettier machine on the road than a Heritage Classic, wish I could have both.Don't think my wore out old back could handle the Softtail cross country.Really spoiled by my EGC.
