Default Strange Handling Sensation: Input requested

On my last two rides, I, one a solo ride, then I and my wife on a 2-up ride, noticed the bike was handling differently than before. She also felt the difference.

Bike Description:

- 08 StreetGlide stock engine exhaust set up
- 28468 miles on the odo
- BaggerBrace stabilizer, 1 year old
- Single owner (me)
- All services performed on schedule

Bike Behavior:

- Wobbles more than it did before on same roads at same and lower speeds
- Wobbles are on curves and left turns from stops
- back wheel seemed to slide out a little twice on same ride. No obvious oil/ice on road
- Second rear slide almost felt like a flat tire for a second or two after a left turn at a light

After each slid I pulled over and checked everything out, figure I must of hit a patch of something

As for the wobble, I am thinking worn bushings? I am full aware of the pre-2009 HD touring frame issues and this seems worse than than and I also have a stabilizer.

It seems to have just started happening on my past 2 rides.

Would like to have it checked out at a dealer, but would love to get some input/advice/possible diagnosis here first.

Thanks,
Arthur

How do the tires look? Tread, air, etc? Steering head bearings maybe? Just throwing out some suggestions.

1st off check the air in the tires. I believe it's 36 front and 40 rear.

A buddy of mine was having issues with his '09 Road Glide and it turned out to be a front wheel bearing.

Cold also effects the hardness of the rubber in the tires, you may get some weird sensations from that but only warm weather will prove that right or wrong.

Doen't that sound like the clasic bagger wobble?

My 08 does it every once in a while. Give you a little wiggle on left turns. Make you pucker up for a second but goes way quickly. They sell all kinds of bagger wobble braces but I haven't thought it bothersome enought to spend $300 for a kit.

Not to repeat about the tires , but I noticed a huge difference in the handeling characteristic with new tires. The reason I mention is you stated the slipping like you went over someting. Older tires are or can have a harder compound due to age tire press and tread depth would have little effect on that problem check you tire date on the side of the tire. I have 07 ultra and steering head bearings were loose when I got it, only time I noticed it was going over the lines in the road slight wobble and in parking-lots at slow speed clunking noise. check out this company http://www.glide-pro.com/
there is some interesting video's.

Thanks for the responses. I am not referring to 'the bagger wobble' here. I do have the stabilizer.

What I am refering to has just recently started.

Popping down to the garage to duoble check tire pressure and wheel weight.
