Looking good.Been eyeing them bars for awhile how do you like em? How do you like the reach compared to standard?
I like the bars a lot. I have them pushed forward as far as I can with my Cee Bailey shield. They are taller and have a better wrist angle for me then the stock bars. Much more comfortable for me.

I was actually going to leave the tappets, push rod covers and heads chrome. I do need to do the front end, exhausts, turn signals, engine guard and peg mounts, dash and floorboard pans. I wanted to have a little chrome but only what I said above. I just have to sell off the old chrome to afford new black parts and powder coating. Anyone wana buy some chrome stuff? lol
Instead of buying parts, why not tear everything off at once and powdercoat?
Much cheaper than buying parts, powdercoating, then trying to sell yours.
I would love to, but here in San Diego there is no down time for a bike, besides, my RG is my daily transportation so I really don't have the luxury to tear it down and send stuff off to powder coat. So I buy stuff as I can and I get stuff for Christmas and my birthday. It might be tacky, it probably takes longer and probably costs more but thats they way I kind of have to do it.

I have spare tappet blocks, lower/upper rocker boxes, pushrod tubes.
Are yours in good shape?
If you're interested in "buying" mine...I'll send them out...you can get them powdered...send me yours back...I'll refund your money.
I have a spare set of lower legs and cowbells already powdered GLOSS black.
If you need these too, we can do the same deal.
I too thought long and hard about blacking out my RG,but I just could not get a clear pic in my head as to weather it would look good or not. Still trying to decide weather to go with black or chrome forks. Oh well, when all else fails, shiney says it all. Keep us informed on the project. Sweet looking ride by the way.
