Default Antenna woes....

I've hated the way the antennas looked on my bike since the day I got it. So I took them off today and she looks so much better. But now I have the antenna connection bolt sticking up and I'd like to cover it. Is there and official HD chrome bolt cover? I would like to protect the threads in case I decide to put the buggy whips back on. I'd just put a cap nut on it but its a long thread, maybe 3/4" tall. Any suggestions?

I got some acorn nuts from Lowe's or Home Depot. They are stainless not chrome but look good. The thread size I believe is 6mm, yep metric on your USA bike. I had to make a small spacer to make up for the depth of the antenna post.

If you can't find a spacer that works get a good Thick piece of Tubing/hose and cut it to desired size for the Nut

Did you make it removable, or just take it off? I can't seem to find anybody at either dealer around me that knows what is needed to make the tour pack removable.

Went with the shorties myself. Just don't key up your CB without the antenna or a
nut that is shorting it out as you could damage the CB.

I did the same thing, removable tour pak and internal antenna. Cut and paste this link, it also comes in chrome.

If you mean removable as far as the quick detach mounts yes. With the Ultra you have to take the cables for the cb, speakers, and taillights and coil them up and store them behind the side covers. If your dealer does not know how to do this, well, lets just say, find another dealer. Otherwise, pm me or I am sure we can step you thru the process. The parts are in the catalog for the tourpak quick detach kit.

I agree, if you're going to two different dealers and neither of them are familiar with detachable docking hardware for a tourpak, I'd stop going to both of them!

I picked up a package of vacumm caps at Pep Boys and put them on the studs. works well and blended in with the color of the bike. Did'nt want to put chrome acorn nuts, because they would not blend in. Works for Me.
