i have an 08 street glide, that i put vance & hines basic slip-ons.Just seem like there getting louder after 1 season.anybody have thoughts on this. I was going to put screaming eagle slip-ons on, but the dealer talked me out of them. Am wondering if i might have been happy with them.Please i would like to hear from anybody who has tried several mufflers

 

I have the B and E superflow MaxII on my 08 ultra sound great and not too loud

 

I think this is common among slip on's no matter the brand. When the packing starts to burn away the sound will get louder.

The solution would be to pull the baffles and redo the packing. Check with Jamie at Fuel Moto they have a high temp packing that they use on their new Jackpot slip on's and I've heard they are Superior to any other packing you can buy.
