Default Oil change question

I have a 2009 Road Glide, 103ci Stage II big bore that I use synthetic oil in the engine, primary and transmission. I change all of the oil every January but due to health reasons I put less than 1000 miles on the bike in 2009.

Can I wait a while or should I stick to my annual change?

thanks

Probably still due the change. Hope your health is better this year and you can make up for last year! Ride safe.

I'd continue that routine. You may get water due to condensation that is not boiling out due to limited run time.

You didn't say where you are located and if you ride year round or not. You also didn't state how many miles a year you average (If you average more than 5k I would be changing some fluids prior to every January). Hope you are healthier this year.

I doubt that you need to change it, just don't start your engine in the cold and let it idle or it can draw in moisture. I don't see how 1k miles is going to contaminate any oil, let alone syn. We waste alot of oil in this country. I know it's cheap compared to an engine but if your really worried you can get it tested. HD recommends 5k on their blend syn and even reg oil and they don't mention any thing about winter lay up.

Hope your better for 2010 season.
