Well, it's 6:53 AM. and it's 21 and sunny. High of 50 expected today and clear weather all week. I'm still riding so far this winter, haven't lost but about 4 days due to one bad snow and ice storm last month. Of course winter has about 6 weeks left here, so not too bad. For those of you still riding, be safe!
You guys that are snowed in, see ya in the spring!
It was 24° in Baton Rouge last night and is now 37° at 11am, which is probably a heat wave to you guys up north but lower than my riding threshold and coooold to us down here. Damn, I had to haul my tropical plants inside last night. Down to 19° Thursday night will be even worse, as we're not geared for temps this low down here. No riding 'til next week, so I want everybody to feel very sorry for us losing a whole week of riding!
I come from East Texas myself, and you're right, got some good weather there too!
The riding is not gonna be all that HOT(pun intended) this week in Texas. Supposed to drop below freezing on Wednesday and stay there untill Saturday afternoon!
I do not care about the cold, it is all that salt on the road that is keeping me from riding.
Very true. I will not ride if there's salt left on the road, which around here is usually the case. I cringe when I see a nice bike out running in the salt. To each their own, but I sure hope they hose it down good when they're done riding.
I'm sure after moving to Tx, that 40 will seem frigid after awhile. It's all a matter of perspective I suppose. Pretty sure my riding season will extend by 3or 4 months though.
