Darn it B-1B!! How many miles on those 255's and do you have a home for them yet?? LOL

Here is the link to the tread where Fuel Moto discusses their cam venture with Woods. There is a dyno chart with great numbers posted.

This was the post that pushed me over the edge to do the Woods TW6-6 cam install. Like I said in previous posts, I don't think you can make a bad decision with the Woods or the 255 cams.

I just wish this snow would melt so I can get some miles on my new cams!

Amen on the snow and cold (-17 actual this morning). Setting on this forum instead of riding is getting expensive. Changed cams in October, changing handlebars now based on the Forum (Kromewerks Sweepers +2), got the parts to turn my turn-signals into brake lights and bought a siren from Radio Shack to install when it gets warmer in the garage. All these based on ideas from this da*m forum. Came "this" close to changing my slip ons, but wife gave me the third degree this morning and said she likes the sound of the ones I have.... guess I should have been more sneaky!

All this because I live in this friggin cold country and can't be out riding!

Trust me, having lived in the cold midwest most my life and now where we can ride year-round, it is still expensive.

However we do get to test out the changes sooner. Maybe you should use the old pipes and cams don't match, need to have that baby running right you know!

The SE 255 is a great choice for drop in cams, and from their intake closing they have impressive low end torque. They are also very easy to tune and are readily available at very reasonable prices.

The 255's come in earlier, but the 6-6's produce more HP. I'm trying to talk Jamie into installing a 6-6 with 4°-advance gear on his other company Harley, then do a dyno comparison. That would be very interesting, and the gear should move the TQ curve to the left, though at the expense of top-end power. I'm looking forward to that comparison, but with the gear that makes the price jump up to at least $475 if you buy an Andrews gear, more if you buy it from Wood. Since Andrews makes Wood cams I presume the gear is the same item.

The good thing about the Wood combo is that you have room to grow if you so choose. If you decide you want more top-end power later on--or let's say you buy a Dyna and want to put the 6-6 in it without the gear, etc.--you can do it. The 255's leave you will little room to grow, and the only viable one I see is to go full Stage II. It's a real torque monster but still doesn't make much peak-HP. I see the 255's as a single-purpose cam, and if it fits your niche it is hard to beat. It fit mine very well.
