Ok, so i bought a set of lower legs for my 1998 electra glide, Going to convert to newer style brakes, I have a buddy with a 96 road king, who wants to do the same conversion, the rk also has the same style 3/4 tapered bearings as my bike has. So i was told to use 99-02 legs which retain the stock 3/4 axle, so we can retain stock wheels, But im looking on ebay, and everyone is listing harley electra glide, touring axles as intererchangable 00-09. So even tho the axle diameter did change in 03, this doesnt effect the lower legs at all???? just the axle?? any help would be apprecieciated. thanks chad im somewhat confused?
according to the harley P&A catalog you need to look for 84 - 99 model sliders
