Have you checked to see if wires to switch are hooked up? May have missed it when putting back together.
Is the light on switch on?
If I remember correctly, I think there is a diagram for fuses in owners manual.
This is what I found in my 2010 owners manual and service manual.
Owners manual
Page 206 is the diagram for fuse blocks.
Service manual (Toward the back of manual)
Appendix B-7 and B-14 are the wiring diagrams. It looks like it is the 15 amp accessory fuse.
Top fuse block 2nd row in top fuse. This may or may not be the same as your 09 service manual so check your to make sure.
Still no luck all fuses in block are good just checked
May try checking the large connector for all switches. It would be the large one that would have been disconnected to remove switch panel. From the wiring diagram it looked like it was the orange and violet wire and the last one on that connector.

Did you paint the inner fairing and the console? Check for power at the switch. Just because wires "look good" doesn't mean you don't have a bad connection. Aux power should go to the switch and show 12V to ground with the ignition on if the light doesn't light I doubt you have power coming out.
