here are a couple, hope they help. these are on the right side of my 06 Ultra. Instal is on top of the existing footboard braket, with the screws coming up from the bottom. Locked positions, are....1) straight back and level 2) slightly up, and back (useless in my opinion)
3) high and slightly forward of center(seems the best for my wife) Install took all of 15 min...good luck

Trailfndr, I take it that these are the only positions and that the "peg" does not fold in out of the way (parallel with the bike), correct?
If you mean that the pics aren't really clear, I found the same thing. What I did was to go to the kuryakyn website and view the pdf file on the installation. It was much clearer then. They were real easy to put on once you got rid of the "duh" effect after you did one side right after a few tries
They fold straight back, totally out of the way when not in use. that is postion 1

Of the 4 positions, only 2 are functional. All the way down rearward is "stowed out of way". The 2nd position is "stowed out of the way" if you have a bag/bottle holder mounted on the front side of your saddlebags. Almost vertical with the pin lock is one riding position and all the way forward (no pin) resting against the mounting bracket is the other position. My wife prefers all the way forward, which is perfect for me when it comes time to move the peg out of the way for backing up maneuvering. No messing with the pin.
BTW, the pin and the notch for securing the pin in the unlocked position face the front of the bike.
