Excuse my ignorance (something I excel at) but can someone explain just how either of these fans work and where they mount?
They're bolted directly to the oil cooler, on the back side. Not sure if they're available for the coolers that are mounted underneath. They can either be operated off a thermostat, or manually with a switch. I use a switch, didn't want the exposed copper line and probe to be seen with the thermostat.

The HD cooling fan is mounted where the horn is,don't know where they put the horn. When fan is on it blows the hot air out from in between the cylinders.

Bolts in where your horn is located and fan blows air across the cyls when the thermoswitch engages. You can feel it's working from the crispy feeling on your right leg.
Thank you all, greatly appreciated. As I have a custom Willie G. horn don't look like I will be doing it. Bike has been okay without so far without it as have millions of others so I guess I will just stay like I am.
Spiker, where can i get an improved bracket for my Lenale. Just had 3rd bracket break.
I used to have them wielded, they broke numerous times, got sick of that so I bought the new improved cooling fan.I think you have to get the whole package.
Next time you see a harley, check to see if it has an oil cooler or a $400 fan on it. Not saying they aren't helpful, but do
you need one (heard summers are brutal in NJ)?
Gets warm here in Florida...hardly see a cooler or fan.

Look at imrotton2 post above....even shows a photo. The fan blows from left to right...
supposedly cooling the fins?
I have air horns mounted where trhe fan would sit. I guess the air horns could cool the engine as well? LOL
