I've been putting it off for awhile but finally had to put the Ultra up for sale. The economy really has affected my new home construction business. Work has been slow for a while but I've been eeking out a living. Recently found out my next two jobs have been cancelled. Been working only part time since mid '09 and now looking at two months without work. Been hemorrhaging money since mid 2008 and it has finally caught up with me. I'm so f'n pissed. Been in business for 15 years and helped alot of people through some hard times. I guess it's my turn now. Sucks. Hopefully I'll get some good news soon on some other work bid and I can take the bike off the market. Haven't been able to ride it much in the past year but I absolutely enjoy the ride. This is the most enjoyable bike I've ever owned and I've had a few.
Just hang in there, Drastic time mean drastice measures. This will be pass.
Sorry to hear this.I,ve my business for 12 years last year was the worst year for me and lots people are in the same situation hopefully 2010 gets better for all of us.
Sorry to hear about you having to sell your scoot. I'm in a similar position. I couldn't resist grabbing one of the 1125CR's when Buell went out of business, 2 weeks later I got laid off. So now instead of 1 almost paid off bike (SG) and 1 paid off bike (Dyna), I have 1 almost paid off bike, 1 paid in full and 1 with less than 20% paid for... Usually the winter layoffs at the dealership are 1-2 months. This year it's an "indefinite" layoff. After scraping by for the last few months I am going to have to sell my Dyna. Really don't want to, but it looks like it's gonna be a long winter. Good luck to you.
Hoping things will turn around for you real fast. Certainly hate to see your Harley delemia, but also the effects it must have on you in others financial ways
Sorry to hear that bad news. I had bikes when I was in school, but had to sell the last one while I was young. I was never able to afford another one till I got my daughters through school. I was 51 then. I hope things get better this year and work picks up. Good luck to you.
