I'm 6'4". The stock 4" windshield looks great but sends air right to my face. The standard windshield blocks the wind but I don't like the look and the top is right in my line of sight. I've tried everything in between. A happy medium has been the Harley 6" during the summer but still hits me a bit so in the winter I use the 12" . I've looked at a few of the after market windshields out there...some of them look goofy but might work great. I'm tired of spending $$$ to find the right one. Has anyone found the right one for a 6'4" rider? Love to see a few pics including from the drivers view.
You'd easily be looking over a 10" LongRideShield or a ClearView - Both have recurves to shoot the turbulence a little higher and to the outsides.
I've gone through (11?) shields on my '08 and those are the two I've settled on for the most part - A 9.5" ClearView and a 10" LongRide. I have a 12" bottom-gradient Memphis Shades (which looks very sharp) that I'll throw on if I'm going a couple thousand miles in the spring or fall, but the 10" LRS gets the bulk of the use.
I'm a little over 6' and my seat is about an inch taller than most. 6'4" is pretty tall... But if you like a little wind (but without it being excessive) I'd think a 9-10" would be in the ball park... The 8.5 Klockwerks Flare might be an option also...
i'm 6'3 and went with the klock werks. i believe its the 6 1/2 its alot better than stock but i swear most of the air seems to be comin up from the tank or under the fairin. Hopefully someone else has experienced this or the next time you ride see if this is happening to you also.
