I keep my phone in my pocket. I want to be able to find it (if I'm not knocked out) in case of a crash. It is however bluetoothed to my headset through my Autocom set to auto answer. My music automatically cuts out when a call comes in.

So you must not use it for navigation.... And if you do, how does that work for you? Thanks.

No, I don't use it for navigation. I keep it zipped up in my jacket pocket. I'm not a GPS guy, I'm a MAP guy. Maybe someday I'll move to the GPS world?

OK...here are the pics I took of the set up with the 2 ball RAM Mount system with the iPhone mount and the cup holder ...now, common sense would explain why I didn't show the Droid in the iPhone cradle....as I was using the Droid to take the pictures!!! Another great sidenote to this is when you park in a less than desirable area, you can remove both the items and place them in your locked trunk or take them with you in about three seconds...Very quick disconnect!

Right now, with the speedometer issue I am having, I downloaded a Speedometer APP from the Android Market and I use that when the Speedo goes south...beats guessing at the RPM's...especially for in town riding!

I might also mention that I use Cardo Scala Rider Q2 Bluetooth communication device on my helmets for cell phone calls and to communicate with my passenger. That way, I can be in compliance with all the laws that are appearing in the traffic laws about cell phone usage while driving.

on my incredible the screen timeout max is 30 minutes, how do you handle that with your setup? I am about to retire my old gps to the better half and that and screen brightness seem like the only drawbacks.

no you have to hit the button on top of it, which if you aren't paying attention could be a PITA on the bike for navigation.....not a deal breaker, but a pain, I know it still gives directions when its in standby mode through the speaker, but not sure how to keep the screen on...

The timeout is handled by the software itself on most applications and I use an application called screebl, it keeps the phone backlight on as long as it senses movement...
But I have found that most the GPS and Speedometer applications take care of canceling the timeout.
