My local dealer says the same thing. He won't even floor them until 08/01/07! They are keeping them hidden in the back. All '06's are $1000 off.
The dealer 65 miles away says come and get it!
A guy called me today from VA and ordered two windshields for his 07 that he is picking up this Sat.
Maybe your salesman isn't telling or dont know otherwise.
Bunch o' BS. Last week my dealer had a bunch of 07's come in. They had to wait for the paper work, titles and such before they could sell them. They came in on Wednesday and Thursday, and bikes are already going out the door. I pick up my 07 Electra Glide Classic on Monday.
Two local dealers have the 07's out that I've seen. One Sportster sold for sure and I picked up mine today. Neither seemed concerned about not getting credit for the sales.
i have a 2007 electra glide standard waiting on me and i was going to pick it up on friday. i was told today that harley davidson wont allow any 2007s to hit the road until august 1st. my salesman is furious, as he said he was sent 18 new harleys and has sold 16 of them. wha up?
I purchased and took delivery of my '07 Low Rider on 7/15 (the day after the new model announcements) so it's not a "hard and fast" rule imposed by Harley. If you really want the EG before August 1st, there are plenty of dealers that will sell 'em to you now.
The dealer here in Jackson, TN sold 11 Saturday. 10 are on the the road already, one Street Glide with a Sold sign, one Road King, one Sportster, and a Softail left on the floor after one day.
2 other dealers were delivering 07's last week but nothing was on their floor for display.
