For you Garmin Nuvi owners, will the unit charge through a PC like the Street Pilots did?

Just got my 1450 and I want to charge the battery before downloading some new software.

Er - manual? Did it come with a charger? If its fresh out of the box you should be telling us! These things normally come with a quick guide....

I plug my nuvi 550 into the usb port on my pc and it charges

Thanks, no the quick start guide does not say if it will charge through a PC.....I did read it first....

Yep. That is how I charge it when on motorcycle vacations. I charge it through the USB port on my notebook.

My 765T charges faster off of the PC USB connection than it does off the truck.
