Thanks. I originally bought Top Shop Bags but I had a few issues with them. I believe I got bags for an 09 bike, the cut outs were unequal, and I had issues with the install. An issue that wasn't their fault was the bag and fender cut outs didn't line up. Since I have the Bad Dad rear fender, I bought the Bad Dad Bags. If I had to do it over again, I would go with www.Oldinc.com Thier set up looks just like Bad Dad's and is cheaper.
As part of this project, I bought a fairing that needs painting and I am going to install speakers in the saddlebags. Thinking about the storage space I am going to lose I am going to add a chopped tour pak. I haven't bought the tour pak, and I am way over budget. I would like to send everything to paint together, so I will get the bike together and ride it without paint until I can get some more cash for the tour pak and paint.

93 till 2010 are all the same size saddlebags, did the bad dad bags install without a hitch and line up ?
My Bad Dad bags aren't in yet. I ordered them Monday and they should be in Friday. The bags are all the same size, but the hole for the cotter pin is a quarter inch higher on 09-10 bikes. I got 09 bags and I moved the hardware as high as it can go and it wouldn't fit. I didn't want to post my expierence with Top Shop to harm his sales since he's a vendor and we need vendors to keep the forum going but I guess I should and I have pictures of every issue I encountered.

personally I would post pics and inform the members of a shoddy product that don't fit right, nothing worse then spending time and money to find out ya got screwed, been there hate that!! somebody might have em custom painted and it would make matters worse. would also give the vendor a chance to reply with a solution.

EXACTLY!! we all come here to an open forum to exchange ideas, thoughts and experiences to help each other out, and if a vendor gives you the run around and doesn't want to man up and fix the problem, then he is not a vendor WE want here anyways... I mean s&#t happens, but they should have fixed the problem right away.
I imagine it was pretty bad since you had to sell them and go with a different Manufacturer.
