for a warranty to be void they must prove that the after market parts installed caused the warrant issue in the first place . you can go on federal trade commission website and checkout all warranty questions i had a issue with a pick-up truck and was told to check it out lots of info on the site they cover any and all warranty on everything

Chances are real good if you just got the stock warranty that nothin' will go bad in 2 years. I don't like dealers dictating to me what I can and can't do, after all it's your bike.

I agree with nytryder, I also stayed with the HD products yes they are a bit expensive but at least it did not blow my warrenty. I bought the extended warrenty so I do not want to risk any problems with it... Your cam choice is up to your riding style my bike is the geezer bike and I just needed a bit more low in torque the SE255's gave me what I needed. I am happy with them.

As has been said already, an ideal cam choice for you depends on where you want the power and how much additional modification you want to do to the engine. Do you want the power down low and in the midrange, with a lower-priority on the top-end--or would you rather have the torque curve move to the right emphasizing the midrange and top-end?

As for the PCV vs. SERT, they are both competent alternatives and like the cam choice it depends on what you want to accomplish, how much you want to spend, and if you have access to a good tech that can tune the device you choose. A PCV from Fuel Moto will have a map installed that is tailored to your bike's hardware, and this is a cost-effective option that will be very close to ideal for most riders. If you would feel better about a custom tune, don't mind spending the extra money, and have a competent tuner in your area who prefers SEST, SERT, or TTS--that may be your best alternative.

I suspect that some dealers denigrate the PCV because it isn't a Harley product and their profit margin is lower. Others do so because they don't understand how it works and how well it works in practice. My dealer displays, sells, and recommends PC's--but if you buy one get it from Fuel Moto. That way you'll get a good map and the ability to upgrade maps should your priorities change in the future. They also provide a double-warranty (2 years).

Regarding your bike's warranty, a PC will not void your warranty unless it can be proven to have caused a problem covered in warranty, and that is not likely. If you will look on the SERT/SEST box, you should see a disclaimer that installing it will or may void your warranty, so your warranty may not be automatically protected by buying SERT or SEST.

I had a V&H Fuelpak on my bike and recently removed it when I bought a SEST for future upgrades. Biggest warranty concern I had with the Fuelpak was possibly bending some ECU pins when plugging it in and that didn't happen. The nice thing about Fuelpaks/PCV is that they piggyback and can be brought back to stock. I used a V&H canned map and bike ran great with some fuel added/removed in various rpm bands. I couldn't imagine any motor breakdowns from that. The SEST will be branded into my ECU and sure a dealer can be a jerk. That said, my dealer will mate up my SEST and do the initial basic can map and check my AFR (I only have stage 1 stuff on bike now so very basic). I figure an H-D product and dealer install should cover my butt locally but any other dealer can certainly be an a-hole about issues...
