Default question about stereo options

I have a 2010 RG and have installed the Hawg Wired amp and speakers.

While being much louder, it just sounds like loud crap. Still hardly no bass at all, and with a full face helmet it leaves me less than impressed at hiway speeds.

So, is there a way to use earbuds (preferred) or helmet speakers with the Harley stereo? I like having the controls on the handlebars, just looking for a way to get better sound.

Full helmet on a Harley and highway speeds probably aren't to condusive to real good stereophonics. I have the stock HK Stereo and use a 1/2 or 3/4 helmet and am quite happy with the power and sound, probably never make any changes to it.
Are headphones/ear buds illegal in some states?

I bought an ARAI helmet last year with the speakers built into the helmet, with a mic and a connector that plugged right into the 7 pin connector of my Ultra. I can get everything right thru the helmet from my Ipod Nano to AM, FM, CB, CD etc and when I want to have other people hear me, I can turn on the speakers but normally I just have it piped into the helmet.

I bought it during bike week at Myrtle Beach

Have Ironcross add preamp outputs to your hk radio.. It will clean up the sound at loud volume.

It did with my setup. I can hear the radio at 80mph over a fatcat on a built motor

I just upgraded my 06 to the Titan XL "herts" speakers, there is a bass that I can feel in my chest, I only wear a 1/2 helmet but with the Klockwerks 6.5 windsheild could hear it clearly with much better sound Quality @over 90, it is powered by the Hawg Wired psc1502 amp, I did play with the amp a little to get the best sound.
