I do not have a CC seat nor do I have an 09. But I do have a King TP with the arm rest on the back rest and have no probs getting on or off the bike with this set up. At 6-9 and 63 years old, I still can't swing my leg over the TP anyway so I put my boot on the seat and slid it over and get off the same way.

Is there enough room under the mount to have a passenger pillion or is this setup strictly for a solo setup? I don't like the look of my bare fender (pretty scratched up under the seat) and don't feel like changing the seat everytime I take the pack off.

Was thinking along the line of sending my seat to MCC and have them rework the pillion to fit under the pack if there is enough room.

There is no adjustability on the tour pak rack to move the tp forward or backwards (atleast for the model for '09 bikes). If you do some reading around, there's a place that makes a kit to move the tp back a little bit. It all comes down to what feels best for you. Here's a pic of my setup:

I'm looking at this type of set-up as well. Here's a question, do you have room to open and lift up the hard bag lids with that thing on? From the photo, things look a bit tight!

Yeah, there's plenty of room to open the hard bag lids. I'm a little more cautious opening them when the tp is on, because you probably could hit them against the tp, but if you pay attention to what you're doing, there shouldn't be an issue.

I can only speak to the mount for an '09 (as i'm pretty sure the mount for previous years are different). I measured and it looks like if the pillion is about 2 3/4 inches thick and about 6 inches wide, it should fit under the mount. The biggest thing affecting the thickness of the pillion is the screws that mount the TP to the rack. They stick out underneath the rack. I too the measurement from the top of the fender to the bottom of the bolts.

The kit came with bolt covers which will offer a little protection. The actual distance i measured for thickness is almost 3 inches, but I figure 2 3/4 will give you a little room to keep the bolts from rubbing against the pillion.

I don't have time now, but I can check my stock seat to see if the TP will fit over it.

That's without the GA relocator. I also have a couple new things installed as well.
