I just picked up my 2010 Rg today. My bars are a little narrow for me. Has anyone put wider bars on their RG? I would like them to be about 1-2 inches wider on each end and maybe about 2 inches higher. Do you think I will need to replace the cables also? Pics if you have them too would help me, thanks
I'm running Heritage bars. Very easy to install utilizing the same wiring and cables. Much more comfortable since they come back further, are a bit wider and higher. I'm very happy with them.

That's a REALLY common swap. I've got a set sitting in my garage and I'll be doing the very same thing and for the very same reasons ptl203 wants to make a change.

Got pics? I really need to make a bar swap. I want the controls 2 - 3 inches closer to me. Looking for the right bars so I can minimize additional cable swaps, etc. I'm told there is sufficient extra cable harness and brake line length, but that I will need a TBW extension.
Brake line was fine and you do not need to extend the TBW cabling unless your switch wiring runs inside the bar which it doesn't. I had no problems and even added heated grips at the same time. To figure out the pullback go to the link I supplied and then go to the comparison chart and you can see the differences. It has to be about 2" or so. I had to reach with the stock bars and these come right back exactly where I wanted. Lots of guys use these bars on Roadglides. And they're cheap, too
Thanks a million, Marc! I look like Frankenstein with my arms stretched straight to the stock bars. Don't really care how I look, I just hate the constant stretch.
