Same as others are saying, go sit on a SG and see for yourself.
As for me I love them on my 09 SG with stock bars, can't see much (25% at best on the outside edge) on my roaddog's 09 SG with 13" apes.
Put a dragonfly fairing on another roaddog's 06 RK with fairing mounted mirrors with stock size fat bar's and can see fine.
