Riding home last night the cruse kicked off and wouldnt re-engage for a couple of minutes. It did this several times before I noticed the brake light was on; the brake light would go off and the curse would work, the cruse would kick off and the brake light would be on. This went on for 20 or so minutes and then everything started acting normal.
Obviously the bike thinks the brake has been applied, has anyone else had this problem? Any idea what is causing it? Better yet, how to correct it? I have a 2008 SG with ABS, factory cruise and factory security; 53,000 miles.
Have you recently replaced anything around your hand controls? There is a switch that the front brake lever activates. I broke mine while installing chrome buttons on my turn signals etc. That would be my guess.
