Default New radio with CB?

HI
I just bought my first Harley. It's a 1999 Ultra Classic. My question is...Is there any such thing as swapping the standard
radio, tape deck, cb, intercom system to one that replaces the tape with a cd and still has the CB radio? I have read through the threads quite a bit and have not seen anything like this. If not, does anyone have any luck with the portable CB's when using them on a bike? I now have two antenna's....one CB and one Radio.
I've read that Sony has some good radios with all the goodies but no CB.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Dixie

Default RE: New radio with CB?

You will need to find a radio from a newer Ultra that has the CD. Or You could get one from the MoCo but that would cost some coin.

I would suggest going to an aftermarket radio setup for a better radio with less money invested than if you go with the HD. As far as the CB/intercom portion do you use it to comunicate with other bikes in the party or for talking to strangers on the highway? If its for other bikes in your party a FRS/GMRS setup might do you alot better. They will have increased range as well as more channels so your group wont have to hear any outside chatter. They have versions that mount to the helmets so there are no wires dangling as well.
