A friend has a vivid black SG with the white gauges and asked me how I thought the black gauges would look for something different from the other SGs. I told him to just go look at an Ultra with the black gauges and that's how they would look. Are there any other differences between the SG and Ultra dashboard?
if all hd's came with the silver gauges and they only sold the black gauges as a add on accesorey people would think wow cool JMO
I guess I must be color blind because the SG gauges are called silver face but they look just like white gauges to me. Anyway, the black gauges look good on the Ultra so they would probably look good on an SG. At least it would something different than all the other SG's and it probably wouldn't cost anything once he sold the white gauges.
I also think the Silver Faced gauges look like white. I guess "Silver" sounds more expensive. Have you seen the new HD "Black Ice Pearl" color? It's BLUE!!
Now if you want some silver look'n gauges, you might want to try these.

Considering the fact that ALL of the other batwing models (minus the Limited) have black gauges and the SG was created to be different than those models... it's kinda funny to think that there are soooo many SGs out there that SG owners are now looking for something different..like the stock run of the mill gauges...
How much for the Klockwerks gauges?-----1300.00! I think I would go Dakota Digital for that price since the gauges are Autometers with the Klockwerks emblem and some wiring. It seems that if you wanted to go with Autometer guages that you could do it for half that price (11 Gauges in my Mustang were only ~800.00 in the Phantoms).
