Hello all,
I picked up my 05 Classic today and fell in love after the first ten minutes of backroads on the way home!
I traded in my 05 Sporty 1200C after only about a month of ownership. I've always ridden larger bikes and thought I'd try something small and zippy for a change...WRONG!!!
The Sporty is a GREAT bike for the price it just wasn't for me.
My previous ride before the Sporty was an 04 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad FI which is similar to the RK.
At 5'8", I appreciated the lower seat on the Vulcan but the RKC handles like a dream and is suprisingly strong thoughout the power range. Ultra smooth motor rounds out the package. It's nice to be on a big bike again. This thing feels rock solid and ready to pile on the miles. I've gone through 4 bikes in the last 2 years trying to find that "something" I've been looking for, and the RK is it!. It's also surprisingly nimble in parking lots and a low speeds...AMAZING My Vulcan tended to feel a little front end heavy but this RKC has a MUCH lighter feel to it. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!
Ride safe everyone

I know exactly what you're saying about finding the right bike. In 1998 I sold my 97 Suzuki Intruder and bought a new Low Rider. (Prior to the Suzuki I had a Sportster but I hadn't ridden for a few years.) Then I rode a friend's Electra Glide and had to have one. Sold the Low Rider and bought a 99 FLHTCI. Kept it until last summer, then sold it and bought a Road King. Best bike I've ever owned (and I've had quite a few). Congrats. [sm=smiley20.gif]
Welcome to the RKC realm from So. Cal. Got mine in Feb of this year and still have dreams about riding her. You will be happy with your choice I assure you. Enjoy the spring and summer and put on those miles!
