Default Compression release

I would like to know just how exact the location of the compression releases need the be. I would like to save a little money and time it will take on having my bike tore down to take the head somewhere and wait for them to finish.

The jig they use for manual CR's will only put the CR in one place on the head.....................if done correctly...LOL

Are you going to put CR's in the heads WITHOUT removing?

A capable machine shop will have no problem installing the comp releases.Placement is pretty straight forward.Have them installed so it gives a balanced look.

Dodson, it only takes 30-40 minutes tops for them to install CR's with the jig. Piece of cake. I did my own, it's that easy.

If your not removing the head for some other reason you dont have to to do the comp releases, just the rocker boxes if your using the jig!

Doesn't the local dealer do this kind of work?
