So I tell my wife that I am expecting a medium sized box in the mail. I tell her, with kinda a proud tone in my voice...... I say, yea I'm a tester for a new windshield that came out. I payed $101.00 after rebate, and I get to switch it out as much as I want untill I get the winshield I like the best. She say's THAT'S NO DEAL! If you are a tester they should be giving you the windshield for your valued input. Boy did she take the wind out of my sail's! Oh well, I still like the fact that I can swap it out. Should be here tommorow!
I thought it was pretty cool too until I saw the price and it got opened to anyone. I wonder if was more of a good marketing idea... I would have thought that they would have already done the testing before they went into full production. That and the not returning of my emails....lol. Either way I'd be interested to see how the turn out.
OK, Now I am getting nervous! I sent a paypal payment to this company for one of the new windshields. Also sent a PM to them 3 days ago with no response. Now reading that no one else is getting any responses and they are not answering phones. I hope I didn't get ripped. Wonder if I can go to paypal and reverse a payment. I have never had to do that.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. I recently did business with Long Ride Shields and there was a slight flaw in the one I got. I emailed Matt, got a reply right away, and he sent me a new shield plus a label to send the other one back.
These guys have sold thousands of shields. I think they may be waiting to hear what some of the tester's have to say and maybe answer some of the questions like the 3 pouch fairing bag fitting.

I'm sure that they are busy packing & shipping the windshields; by the looks of things they probably have at least 25 to pack & ship.
I ordered one an hour before cut off time and paid with my credit card. Sent them an email a couple of days later and got response that they gave me credit for the $30. Can't complain about that.

Dang, I would love to be a tester. Being an engineer, testing is what I do. I have been looking to get a Long Ride Shield, so this one is kind of exciting. Is there more information on it yet like height?
Heheh ... this type shield is designed to look over just like all the recurve shields.
