Some of you might remember that I sold my '09 Ultra last fall because of medical problems. I thought I wasn't going to be able to ever ride again (and wasn't sure I was gonna live to ride).
My dilemma ... I love the Ultra Limited, but with my medical condition I'm not sure I'll be able to ride near as far as in the past.
Go with the UL. Just think not long ago you thought you never would ride again, now who is to say how many miles is to far.
Get the bike of your dreams as others have said you only live once. As a good friend said to me when I was undecided on buying an RV “your dead for a long time!” Enjoy life to the fullest
Up until 2004 I had always bought by price. Meaning Jap bikes. Then I decided to buy with my heart. So I bought a 2004 Lowrider. Was never happier. In 2007 I made a mistake by going to a HD and sat on a Fatboy. My heart took over and I got it. Was never happier. Then in April 2009 I sold it. Thought I was done riding. You know. Time to prepare for retirement. I am 55. Then, again, went to the HD to just look. Sat on a 2010 RoadKing. Loved it. Followed my heart and bought it. Was never happier. What I am saying is this.
Follow your heart. Buy the Ultra. You will LOVE IT!!!!!
Id buy that Road king but Id offer him 18,000 with a 103 kit and chopped detach tour pac. And still have saved $6000 and have the same motor with out the cat in the head pipe.
"Then again ... that Ultra Limited is a nice looking bike for the money ..."
Sounds to me like you answered your own question. I'm glad you
got that 2nd chance. Don't waste it. Enjoy that new Limited.
