well my Dad and I finally got some time to break down his bike. He wanted to check out his cam chain tensioners. He has an 01 Standard with 53k on it. I know what your thinking....holy smokes...53k and he hasn't checked the tensioners?!?! Well, they were fine.

Well since we are in there, he's going with Andrew Cams (I forgot which cam) and gear drive. I've put it in his head to get a new oil pump also. Since we are there.
As for my bike, after his is all wrapped up, I might do the same.(cams and gear drive) But for now it's just Milwaukee Bagger bags and Bad Dad fender. I'm waiting on some lights to show up. When they come I will be mocking everything up perfectly and then they are off to paint. Pics...

look'n good and ya saved a bunch of $$$$ on labor tore apart a friends motor at around 60.000 miles also on a 2000 with almost no wear on the tensioner shoes

 

Yeah some say 20k or 30k on the shoes and my dad has 53k on his and luckily his were fine.
