So I finally got around to pulling the cam cover to inspect the tensioners. My bike has 35k miles so I did not know what to expect as I have read about people needing these at varying times with the tc88B.
The front one was about 25% worn and the rear a tad bit more. I got some pics. This was a simple check, just a bit time consuming but I have gotten a ton of help from other forum members. Got a few pics of the front one.
I have everything needed to do the replacement here but will not embark on this procedure alone. Here is a pic of the front one. I guess after I get back from Laughlin or as soon as I can find someone to help I will go for it.
That's about the mileage I think I'm gonna take a look at mine. I know some guys personally that have over 50k on thier older tc's and still have had no problems
