I personally find it un-natural and uncomfortable to lift my heel, so removed it pretty quickly..

Added a Kury spacer to push the Toe shifter out... ah, perfect.

I gave mine a fair chance and got to were I kind of liked shifting with it but finally got tired of it being in the way on long rides so I removed it the other night,

I use mine. But is an accutronix set that is extended. A lot more room, feels more comfortable.

I removed mine also but replaced it with an extra long one from Walter's Workshop since I have big feet. I adjusted it low so when you shift, it is about the same level of the floorboard. Kept the front shifter up so I can still use that one only or if I want use the rear one too. Plus with the extra length, it changes leverage geometry and makes finding neutral easier.

Always use mine. Hated wearing out the toe on my ***** kickers so I learned to like heel shifting. Now I wouldn't be without it.

I always use the heel shifter . . . could not ride without it since my accident . . . the toe of my foot cannot raise enough for toe shift . . . it could, if I could find a shift peg extension of some kine.
