OK Guys... I'm sure with this Group, I can Get some straight answers...
PLEASE PLEASE.... Stay On Topic for Me ... I'm asking About Dunlop D402 Vs E3 Tire... Do Not tell Me about the Metzeler or the Avon or Whatever YOU find Better...I Have Narrowed MY Choice to Either of the Dunlops.... Thank You for that...
I'm riding a '06 Electra Glide Standard. I do not travel with a Passenger. I am in Florida, so Ice is not a consideration. Wet Roads, YES. I travel @ 80-85MPH when Road Tripping...I have 12,343 Miles on the D402 that are On the Bike Now, and they still look pretty good, But it's time to change them. I was going to go with the D402 again, in White Wall (I know...Pimp it Up), But I hear so Much good things about the E3 Touring tire that I might skip the whitewall 402 and go with the E3 Touring... I've had great experience with the Stock D402, so, Should I Switch?
Questions for those who Know about this choice, or have made it...
Will I get the same milage out of them-10k-12k with either?
Does the E3 Grab Better? I am not a speed freak, and road noise is Not a major consideration... What am I getting by switching to the E3 Touring over the Stock D402 which Harley recommends, and frankly are Cheaper to Buy.
Thank you all... I have about 3 week window to order them, switch them, and get some miles on them before my next trip.

Every thread I've read on several forums gives the E3 very positive reports on tread wear and handling. I have one on my Ultra now with about 8K on it. It handles very well and appears that it will outlast the 402.
I have the E3's now and would never go back to the D402. It handles better and doesn't seem to wear as bad. The wear indicators started showing at 7500 miles on my rear D402. I have 5K on the E3's and they still lokk brand new.

Check around because I found E3's to be about $50-$60 less per pair than 402's
I just bought E3's from Jakewilson.com for $208.00 including shipping to my door. I just installed them but live in Ohio and can't ride for a few more weeks till the salt on the roads is gone
I read a lot of comments on the forum prior to putting E3's on my RKC this Fall. The only negative I could find about the E3's was that they don't come in WW. They are cheaper and everyone says they last longer and ride better then the D402s.
Yes, Sorry, It was written poorly... I meant to Say the E3 was less Expensive...Better and Less Expensive?? WAIT... Something is Wrong with this....
OK D402 Guys... are you Out there? Everyone so far is Happier with E3s....
Thank you all so far for your input. God Bless the Open Road...."Country fried"
I was happy with my original 402's also, and got good life from them. I had 29k on 1 front and 2 rears, but wanted to try something else that may be better.
Heck I was happy driving 80's cages and a 72 shovel until I drove some newer cars and bikes and felt the difference.
You don't know till you try.
as stated E3's have had some great reviews, however if you need WWW they wont satify your requirements in this area. If I had BW I would get E3's even if its just to try them out.
I have a RKC and will replace my tires with 402 as I don't think the bike looks right with out WWW or I would .
