I've used one for 3yrs I believe. Bought it locally but it wasnt' hard to put together. 8 bolts or so. 4 for the wheels, 4 for the lift? Sounds about right. Simple.

Don't worry, that Harbor Freight jack will look just as nice in the trailer park in Missouri.

I got mine on sale for $59.99 couple years back and it works great. Yes it does lock in various heights.

Sorry Sparky, I just noticed your post to me. I bought mine at a store. It's not hard to assemble at all.

So...what color is your SG??

Without reading all the replies, I'll give you my opinion on the HF jack...

I've had it since November 2008. I use it several times a month for general maintenance (checking air pressure, inspecting tires, changing tires, washing, etc). It has not failed me yet, and doesn't apprear that it will any time soon either. It is pretty stable. I have never felt the need to secure my bike with tie-downs. The only issue that I had was that the release lever allowed the bike to come down way too fast. But I fixed that by installing a bolt in the lever that limits the downward travel. It now lowers nice and slow.

Granted, I've never had a different jack, so I can't compare it to any others. But for the $70 that I paid, I feel it was money well spent. True, I could have spent more money for a better jack, but this one does everything that I want it to do.
