I'm only 6'3" and felt pretty crunched,I can imagine what you must feel like!

I got a wild hair one winter and made some brackets for my boards that moved them forward 2-1/2",added an extended shifter and made a longer brake pedal.

MUCH better!!!

6'11" here... on an 08 Street Glide. I would first have the seat done. Take it to someone local if possible so you can try it on a couple times before its recovered. Once you remove the seat cover and foam you can cut out the material which holds the driver back rest, replace the cut out area with a flat piece of plastic or fiberglass the area to cover the hole. Now you will have a flatter area to work with and be able to put drivers area where you need it depending on what your lady needs to be comfortable. I also went with Monkey Bars from Paul Yaffe to get my forearms up off my knees and thighs. I used Wild Bills Cycles forward footboard brackets which moved my boards forward 2" with Battistinis floor boards which are much longer than most giving you plenty of room to move around. Oh and by the way ...I guess the little feller dont relize big guys carry big guns....proud owner of the Taurus Judge.

I think you've got some issues Xanax won't help, maybe "little Man syndrome"? the guy was just asking a F**in question!

It seems to me the OP has gotten his answer, and I do not mean to hi-jack the thread. Please forgive me...

But, I do feel you (strtarrow) should put some more reading time in on that bible you like to brag on so much. The first time I had the 'pleasure' of your comments, I actually took your side. Since then I've had to reconsider my position. Do not get insulted by what I'm saying, THINK about it. You sound like the instigator in the majority of the responses I've witnessed since the first one I read.

You thump that bible to the point that you sound more like a parolee trying to impress the civilized world of your 'struggling christian' personna. You have made more uncalled for attacks on the innocent in HDF than the person I defended you against, IMHO.

Again, I am not trying to insult you, I simply want you to reflect on your own behaviour. Do as you wish, but if you keep the path you choose here each day, I'd say you are going to gain more enemies than you need.

If you cannot come to some understanding of what I am trying to tell you, and you do decide that you have done no wrong, then I hope you keep breathing for a long time. It would help me to maintain the perception that I am not as socially challenged as I thought. And, please don't invite yourself into my inbox, you have nothing else I wish to hear.

I've said my peace, and I'll not mention it further.

My appologies to the OP and the other members...

I'm only 6'1", but my friend is about 6'5" or more and he's comfortable on my bike. I don't know how the changes in the newer frames would make you sit compared to my old '03, but even I felt crunched on some of the newer bikes.

In my case, a combination of a sundowner seat, 12.5" mini apes, and highway pegs in the right position makes all the difference for me. I can ride w/ heels on the boards and toes on the pegs, for a semi-stretched position, or go all the way up on the pegs for a more stretched out position. It's pretty easy for me to transition from either spot to the brake or the shifter once you get used to it.

Like I said, my taller friend had no problem on my bike, but I would try to start w/ a good seat, maybe a sundowner, and then modify it a little more if need be, and I would try some taller bars w/ a little pull back, and some highway pegs...

If that's not enough, then maybe the brackets that move your floorboard out and forward a bit might help.

Good luck whatever you do. I rented an 08 once while in Vegas and I felt like I was riding the tank the whole time, that being the biggest concern for me at the time, the first thing I would have changed would have been the seat. I'm often surprised at how some bikes feel out of the factory, considering how many big dudes I see on harleys, I would think there would be more adjustments available to accomodate bigger guys w/out so much expense.

I do think there's a little more room on the road glides compared to the ultra classics in my opinion. I also had more room on a street glide than I did on an ultra, I think because of the sloping seat. So maybe the ultra would feel a lot different w/ a more suitable seat, as well.

Im 6'5" and made the bike to fit fine...Wild one 575 bars, mustang solo seat w/passenger pillion and a George Anderson tourpack relocator..to scoot the passenger back, also added floorboard spacers for a bit more comfort.

Even so, I do find my feet on the highway pegs a lot.

AS others have said, the tallboy seat should move you about 2 inches. GO to a dealer and have them tell you what they can do. Do get a taller windshield. I'm only 6 ft but very long waisted and short legs and the regular size windshield is somewhere around my chin. I get lots of buffeting.

Good luck with your buying adventure
