I bought on and tool it on a 700 mile run. My butt still hurt at the end. May have helped some but not much.

Your mileage will vary...I noticed no long term help with the sheepskin. 500/600 mile days are the same at the end with it on or off for me. Initially, maybe the first 50 miles it seems to feel better but hotspots are the same and don't stop my butt from being the root of calling it a day. I am now trying the beadrider for my 4k mile trip around canada here in another week to see how it performs over 2 weeks of solid riding.

I did a 1000 mile day last year with a brand new one. It lost about 2/3 of its thickness that day, and the butt was pretty damned sore. The last couple of hundred miles were particularly uncomfortable. It helped a lot, especially over the first 600 miles, but did not perform a miracle.

If your ride in jeans on a vinyl seat, you will appreciate the pad. The price is good and the company excellent.

Guys, the sheepskin is there to keep your butt from getting too hot or too cold......doesn't really alleviate the sore issue.

I used mine on a 350 mile ride, a few weeks ago...100 + temps, and wouldn't be without it.

Wife and I use one and she is spoiled to it. It helps with the heat. I know that is hard to beleive, but it does. Like someone else said, I don't think it makes you any less sore, but it does help for some reason. We will be using it to the ride to Sturgis in a couple weeks.

a $15 piece of genuine chamois from walmart will comfortably firm up the bike seat amazingly.
