I've never seen manual CR's installed, are they hard to reach with your fingers?

++++ to this. For those of us that hopefully ride better than we wrench, this is almost criminal. Dealer done big bore kits should make you sign a waiver if you don't want the compression releases but then at least you would know about it.....

Yup, right next to spark plugs. Easy to reach but don't stick out like a sore thumb...

I would, ask me how I know as I just got an estimate for $750 to install after the fact.

My bike is apart at the shop and compression releases were not suggested or mentioned by the dealer. Thanks to this thread, I will be adding compression releases to the build in the morning. I am glad I researched this while the heads are still off.

As has been stated the motors built with SE255 cams have been known to have high cranking pressures. In hot weather the starting problem will be greater and CR's are a must. I have the MCR's in mine.

I got my bike back and I am using a map off of the powercommander website to tune from. I would appreciate if someone would have a map that is close to my setup that I could compare. winamos@msn.com The Target AFR's don't seem to be consistent with what I have been reading about on this forum.

My components are listed in my signature. I also have the SE Air Cleaner.
